We're recruiting a
Supervisor/Senior Wellbeing Practitioner to our
Children and Young People's Mental health team (CAMHS) in Aylesbury. This role within CAMHS aims to develop the role of Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) in the Mental Health Support Team (MHST).
This role is perfect if you have knowledge and experience in using evidence-based low intensity interventions and the perfect opportunity to develop your career, to support the development of this new, exciting service for young people and their families.
Candidates must have either completed Post Graduate Diploma for Senior Wellbeing Practitioners (SWP) or have commitment to undertake and complete Post Graduate Diploma for Senior Wellbeing Practitioners (SWP) while in post.
This is a fixed term 2 years contact, permanent role at end of 2 years subject to completion of training.
- Clinical Supervision: Provide clinical supervision and caseload management to qualified and trainee Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs), ensuring adherence to activity contracts and supporting their professional development
- Referral Management: Triage and allocate referrals according to agreed protocols, offering signposting and self-help advice or referring to other services when necessary
- Clinical Assessments and Interventions: Conduct clinical assessments and brief interventions for children and young people, including those with complex presentations, and provide evidence-based low-intensity psychological treatments
- Training and Development: Identify training needs, assist in the development of CPD routes, and deliver training sessions to support the professional growth of EMHPs and the wider team
- Professional Development: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, national and local policies, and advances in interventions and treatments for common mental health problems in children and adolescents
The ability to travel independently between sites within the Trust is essential for this role.
