About The Role
Be part of this ‘once in a generation’ project that will deliver clean energy to 6 million homes for the next 60 years. Sizewell C will see the creation of a 3.2 Gigawatt nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast to provide reliable load low-carbon electricity.
The Civil Works Alliance is an extended delivery enterprise involving Sizewell C and three international construction companies: Balfour Beatty, Bouygues Travaux Publics and Laing O’Rourke.
We are more than just an alliance, we are bringing together a single delivery organisation with years of learning and experience from other major complex infrastructure programmes worldwide.
What you'll be doing
The purpose of the role; to manage and deliver safely multiple portions/disciplines of construction to programme and . The candidate will have a Heavy Civils based background which to include Major Earthworks Cut & Fill operations, Stockpile management, Platform installation for Piling/ Cranage/Sheet Piling works, infrastructure installation, Heavy Duty FRC slabs experience, Drainage and water management all carried out in a live dynamic work environment.
You will also have to provide and demonstrate experience of on site management through strong leadership and be capable of controlling a multidisciplined team with-in with the larger site area, Strong leadership which will develop, mentor and guide junior members of the team through experience and Knowledge. Must also demonstrate a can-do attitude and be able to communicate efficiently internally though briefings and engagement talks etc.

Who we're looking for
Essential
- Capable of taking ownership of the works or a section of the works from start to finish, including the handover of the works
- Able to clearly communicate the requirements of a safe system of work to ensure that these are followed accurately
- Capable of taking ownership of tasks and communicating outcomes
- Strong work ethic with flexibility to work unsociable hours/nights
- Able to work on own initiative and seek out opportunities in line with level of responsibility
- Holds a current driving license and CSCS Card
- SMSTS
- Must be a good team player, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience of managing the works of direct labour and subcontractors
- Experience working within environmental protected sites
- Experience in one of more of the following disciplines: ground improvement techniques, earthworks, drainage, structures
