We have an exciting opportunity for a Supervisor (Track,S&C) to become part of our dynamic Central Rail Systems Alliance (CRSA) team, based in Crewe. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing on-site project execution. You’ll ensure that work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards—on time, within budget, and aligned with customer expectations.

What you'll be doing
Key Responsibilities Include
- Contribute to Plan development with the Construction Manager and Works Manager
- Organise suppliers and sub-contractors to achieve efficient integration into the Plan
- Plan day to day requirements of the Project works Package to produce effective use of all resources to minimise snagging
- Carry out team briefing/debriefing of plan and task requirements, ensuring lines of command are clear
- Ensure correct positioning/sequencing of plant and equipment for optimum use by on-site teams & personnel
- Enact plan requirements, monitor site circumstances, conduct risk assessments, re-plan work to optimise output
- Identify potential contract variations to Construction Manager and PM
- Control and implement health, safety, quality and environmental requirements, supported by full briefing
- Responsible for staff welfare on-site
- Support the Project Engineers, Construction Manager and PM in completing reports
- Identify potential process improvements
The Following Qualities/experience Are Essential
- In depth appreciation of NWR, Group and Line Standards
- In depth knowledge of track renewals
- Knowledge of rail plant and equipment
- Managing subcontractors on site
- Knowledge of possession requirements/ PICOP
- Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental requirements Conversant with business management systems
- Experience delivering wheel timber bridges, lineside civils, bridges, fencing and platform refurbishments.
- PTS, COSS, Engineering Supervisor, Crane Controller, Load Examiner, Safe Work Planner, CSCS
- SMSTS
- Driving licence
- Track back desirable
- NVQ level 3 qualified
- First Aider
- Leading and managing engineering works of varying size and complexity
- Completion of basic Supervisor development programme
