Role Pitch CloudPay is looking for a passionate and experienced UK Payroll Supervisor to lead a talented team in delivering high-quality, accurate, and timely payroll services to our valued clients.

The ideal candidate will ensure the accurate and timely delivery of end-to-end payroll services while maintaining high customer satisfaction and team performance. This role combines technical payroll expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to process improvement in a dynamic, client-focused environment
Key Responsibilities Daily Duties and Main Responsibilities will include:
Team Leadership and Supervision:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of payroll professionals, ensuring their development and performance.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and team check-ins.
- Guide on complex payroll issues and ensure the team adheres to company policies and legal requirements.
- Provide payroll system training and guidance on annual updates to the new team members
Payroll Operations:
- Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, including data collection, processing, reporting, and reconciliation.
- Ensure the accurate & timely completion of UK payrolls.
Client and Stakeholder Management:
- Act as a point of escalation for client queries, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and professionally.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and retention. Attend monthly client calls and follow up on queries.
Process Improvement and Compliance:
- Continuously review payroll processes to identify inefficiencies and lead improvements.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and industry trends, ensuring compliance
- Utilize analytics to review team member and client performance and lead improvements where required
- Ensuring clients and team members work in line with agreed calendar deadlines
Description Attributes and Experience Required:
- Demonstrable experience managing end-to-end UK payrolls within a bureau or multi-client environment.
- In-depth knowledge of UK payroll regulations, systems, and best practices.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive and solution-focused with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Client-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Proven leadership experience, or a strong background in payroll with a desire to move into a supervisory role.
- Commitment to professional development and staying updated on payroll legislation.
- A CIPP Diploma in Payroll Management (or working towards it) is highly desirable.
