Role Purpose
We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Supplier Cost Manager.
The Operational Management (OM) function provides support to the Head of Real Estate Services (RES) and Head of Operational Management (OM) across all their areas of responsibility. Operational Management (OM) delivers and contributes to policies, processes, procedures, and tools for their implementation and management in RES, working with Global Functions such as Finance, HR or Strategy & Planning where required. The OM Team drives continuous improvement across the RES structure in areas such as Governance and Risk Control Operations, Change Execution, Financial Management and People.
This is a key financial management role within RES, focussed on supporting the team to effectively manage the cost base.

In this role you will:
Report into the GCB4 Senior Planning & Recharges Manager (UK) and will cover a range of critical activities, including: -
• Supplier cost management with strong focus on 3rd party interactions due to materially outsourced cost base.
• Financial control of RES P&L and balance sheets, including: -
o Management of ledger transactions including 3rd party inputs and accounts payable, working to technical guidance from finance function and entity financial control
o Management of month end close process including review calls, reporting and commentary
o Balance sheet management including account reconciliation, reporting and query resolution to internal guidelines
o Query management including requests relating to financial control, VAT and internal audit
o Support for annual audit and VAT submissions
• Supporting with wider financial and business management activities as required.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
• Experienced accountant (or equivalent) with strong commercial awareness
• Experience in real estate cost management (e.g. dilapidations, vacant space provisinng) is preferred
• Excellent data analysis skills; able to manage complex, high-volume data
• Strong communicator across finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Builds strong relationships with 3rd parties while holding them accountable for deliverables
• Collaborative, proactive, and solutions-focused with a drive for process improvement and progression
This role is based in Sheffield, Hybrid.
