ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a dynamic and creative Supply Chain Director to oversee the running of our day to day Operations and the formulation of Surreal’s Supply Chain Strategy to meet the business’ ambitious 3 year goals.

The ideal candidate will have around 10 years hands on experience within a food manufacturing environment and a proven track record of achievement in driving improvements across a supply chain within a food manufacturing environment.

This key leadership role will require close collaboration with a cross-functional team and third party suppliers suiting an individual with resilience, strong reasoning capability and the interpersonal skills to carry others with them.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operational Strategy Development & Execution: Develop and execute the operational strategy to achieve the company’s 3-year commercial objectives related to pricing, products, legal compliance, and operational capabilities.

• Leadership & Team Management: Lead and manage the Head of Operations, Senior Product Development Manager, and the Operations Manager, providing direction, guidance, and support in executing their respective responsibilities. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.

• Legal & Regulatory Compliance: Oversee and ensure the organization’s adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Ensure that operational processes are compliant with legal requirements, minimizing risk to the business.

• Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation, set the product improvement and innovation roadmap.

EXPERIENCE

• A minimum of 10 years management experience in Operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

• Strong understanding of running transformational COGS projects, product development processes and managing co-manufacturers.

SKILLS

• Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams to success.

• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities to solve complex operational challenges.

• Stakeholder management**:** Comfortable working with & in manufacturing environment. Being able to manage and leverage our manufacturers and suppliers key stakeholders and able to influence and deliver.

• Creative, solutions driven problem solver.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior leadership and various Company stakeholders.

• Proficiency in operational systems, project management tools, and data-driven decision-making.

• Knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in operational management.

TRAINING

Graduate Training Program or industry experience within in a Blue-Chip Food Manufacturing environment preferred
