We are currently looking for a
Supply Planner to join us at our facility in
Farnham.
The Supply Planner will be responsible for the effective
planning schedule management of both sites (Farnham and Zuidland) to ensure that products are manufactured in a timely, efficient manner in line with customer demand. This person will also ensure that materials are
purchased within required timescales whilst keeping stock levels within agreed levels.
Key responsibilities:
- Agree then achieve production schedules for both sites in line with customer, sales, and logistics requirements.
- Drive forward process improvements within the supply chain.
- Identify opportunities to reduce purchasing costs whilst maintaining agreed levels of service, quality, and supply.
- Inputting inventory measures to improve raw material stock control ensuring materials are being purchased at the correct levels.
- Reducing the amount of rework on by site providing systems for continuous rework cycles.
- Co-ordinating masterbatch planning between both sites to reduce the amount of downtime.
- Co-ordinate mill & extrusion planning between both sites to improve lead times & efficiency.
- Monitor monthly inventory process at both sites to minimize non-productive inventory and meet annual inventory investment targets set in the annual budget.
- Performing required SOX controls and establishes remediation plans for any controls that are not effective.
- Developing and implementing actions to reduce non-productive inventory in a timely manner.
- Using the agreed supply chain metrics to track and manage supply chain process and production performance, to include forecast accuracy, inventory metrics, Production KPI’s.
- Implement & maintain safety stock levels of raw materials, WIP and finished goods to meet customer demands.
- Provide an identifiable link between sales personnel and scheduling for improved communication to benefit all stakeholders.
- Improve the purchasing & planning methodology of both sites so they both work in a similar more streamlined way rather than as separate entities.
- Provide out of office hours support as and when needed.
- Take ultimate responsibility and provide ownership of the cross-site planning and purchasing function.
- Responsible for business data collection/ presentation, monthly KPI reporting
- Travel between both sites as and when required.
- Main interactions: logistics, engineering, quality, technical department and Business Director.
Key requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering or other technical major preferred OR equivalent experience.
- Relevant supply chain leadership experience in coatings, chemicals or other manufacturing industries.
- Experience with demand planning, master scheduling, detailed scheduling, materials planning, toll planning and logistics.
- Demonstrated proficiency with SAP, SAP Hana preferable.
- Business acumen.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Work to realistic time frames, when set and agreed.
- Excellent team spirit and interpersonal skills.
- General MS Office and computer skills.
