The Role
Are you detail-oriented and motivated to contribute to a dynamic, client-focused laboratory environment? We are seeking a reliable and organised Support Services Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring accurate and timely registration of a wide variety of samples, supporting the smooth operation of our analytical testing processes.
Hours Per Week: 44
Days Per Week: 4 on 4 off (9am – 9pm)
Contract: Full Time & Permanent
Salary: £25,834 + £2000 location allowance per annum

The day to day
- Performing the daily registration of food, environmental, water and associated samples for a range of analytical tests onto the laboratory information management system
- Organising sample storage and preparing samples for analysis
- Performing daily quality control checks, calibrations, and housekeeping duties
- Dealing with incoming client communication via email, telephone or in person promptly and in a professional manner.
- Communicating specific client sample requirements and priority requests to the laboratory management.
- Liaising with the laboratory supervisory team to ensure that samples are processed in line with the requirements of sample flow through the laboratory.
