Your Role as a Support Worker
Every night is different—but every night
matters.
- Support people to build life skills and greater independence
- Be a calm, consistent presence during the night
- Assist with evening routines, personal care, and safety checks
- Keep care records up to date and follow support plans
- Offer reassurance and support through active listening and presence
- Foster genuine connections through empathy and understanding
