Job Role: Support Worker - Support for Adults with ASD

Salary: £25,235

Hours: Full-time 37.5 hours per week

Contract type: Permanent

Location: Bath

Additional Information

  • Participation in an on-call rota will be required

The Role

Are you passionate about empowering clients & making a difference?

Empower and support clients with empathy and insight to develop the independent living skills they need to transition confidently from low or medium support to full independence—typically within two years. Provide tailored, person-centred guidance that recognises each individual’s aspirations, needs, and potential. Proactively facilitate access to essential services across housing, health, education, and employment sectors. Leverage strong IT skills to ensure clients are digitally included, able to manage their benefits, access online resources, and stay connected with support networks, helping them take control of their lives and thrive in their communities.

Responsibilities Include

  • Give clients emotional support, information and provide an enabling service so that they can be signposted to and access appropriate services
  • Progress and track referrals made into the service and outcomes for Clients moving on from the service
  • Ensure that organisational administrative systems, including Petty Cash and rent/service charge collection are accurately maintained and updated.
  • Support organisational initiatives which seek to promote Client involvement and inclusion.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Understanding the importance of sustained accommodation in preventing escalation of psychological, social and health needs.
  • Ability to undertake Needs Assessment and Planning for people with complex social needs
  • Good knowledge of problems faced by adults with Autism and Aspergers and a range of specialist skills to work with this client group.
