About The Role
This is more than just a job it's an opportunity to be part of a team that supports individuals with learning disabilities to live as independently and confidently as possible. Youll work across a variety of settings in the York area, providing tailored support that helps people thrive in their own homes and communities.
Youll build trusting relationships, encourage choice and independence, and offer meaningful, person-centred care. Every day is different, and every interaction counts.
What Were Looking For
Were seeking someone who brings:
A genuine passion for helping others to live well and achieve their goals
Excellent communication skills, patience, and the ability to build strong, respectful relationships
Flexibility, as the role involves working a range of shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
A positive, empathetic approach, and an understanding of the challenges people with learning disabilities may face
A valid UK manual driving licence is an advantage
Experience is always welcome, but what matters most is the right attitude. If youre kind, proactive, and eager to learn, well provide full training and support to help you thrive in your role.
