WE ARE RECRUITING A SUSTAINABILITY MANAGER.

Are you passionate about protecting the environment and promoting human rights? Are you ready to make a real impact? At World Wise Foods, we’re looking for a Sustainability Manager to help shape and deliver our sustainability strategy— covering everything from seafood sustainability to climate change, responsible recruitment, and gender equality.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of a purpose-driven business, collaborating with international partners and industry leaders to drive meaningful change across global supply chains.

The successful candidate will:

  • Lead our seafood sourcing strategy, ensuring compliance and identifying opportunities for innovation and advocacy.
  • Represent World Wise Foods in key industry initiatives such as the Global Tuna Alliance, Seafood Ethics Action Alliance, and Sustainable Seafood Coalition.
  • Conduct annual risk assessments and develop action plans that integrate both environmental and social sustainability.
  • Support environmental initiatives covering soy, food waste, and carbon.
  • Coordinate supplier environmental data collection and risk mapping (e.g. water scarcity, high-risk raw materials).
  • Act as the main point of contact for selected suppliers, ensuring they meet our sustainability standards.
  • Promote sustainability internally through training and updates, and externally through impactful communications.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging risks.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, customers, NGOs, and internal teams to deliver on our sustainability goals.
  • Provide support to the Head of Sustainability and oversee in-country consultants where needed.

About you:

We’re looking for a candidate with at least four years’ experience in a similar role, such as seafood sustainability, carbon reporting, or ethical compliance. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of relevant frameworks and standards including MSC certification, GHG Protocol, SMETA, Sedex, and the ETI Base Code. Experience within food supply chains—particularly seafood—is highly desirable.

You’ll need excellent communication, organisational, and data analysis skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel. We’re seeking someone confident and personable, with a genuine passion for sustainability and a strong appetite for continuous learning. A willingness to travel internationally, including an estimated 2-6 long haul trips annually and further short haul as needed. In addition, you will be a team player who maintains an open, honest and respectful culture, creating a positive and supportive working environment.
