JSS are working with a leading specialty insurance group where they are seeking a Syndicate Accountant to join its Lloyd’s reporting team. This role supports the accurate and timely production of syndicate financial reports in compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will contribute to process improvements and collaborate across finance functions to enhance reporting quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and support Lloyd’s syndicate reports in line with regulatory guidelines and timetables.
• Analyse technical and non-technical accounts to support audits.
• Assist in preparing half and year-end statutory accounts.
• Contribute to analytical reviews and performance commentary by business class.
• Support UK GAAP entries and quarterly ledger postings.
• Participate in strategic finance projects and ad-hoc tasks.

Personal Profile:

• ACA/ CIMA/ ACCA/ CAANZ/ CPA qualified accountant with a prior background in the insurance industry - essential.
• Lloyds syndicate audit experience is desirable but prior experience auditing specialty insurers would be advantageous.
• Prior experience in supporting during audit, as well as year-end tasks.
