JSS are working with a leading specialty insurance group where they are seeking a Syndicate Accountant to join its Lloyd’s reporting team. This role supports the accurate and timely production of syndicate financial reports in compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and support Lloyd’s syndicate reports in line with regulatory guidelines and timetables.
• Analyse technical and non-technical accounts to support audits.
• Assist in preparing half and year-end statutory accounts.
• Contribute to analytical reviews and performance commentary by business class.
• Support UK GAAP entries and quarterly ledger postings.
• Participate in strategic finance projects and ad-hoc tasks.

Personal Profile:

• Industry trained part-qualified accountant with a prior background in the insurance industry - essential.
• Lloyds syndicate audit experience is desirable but prior experience auditing specialty insurers would be advantageous.
• Prior experience in supporting during audit, as well as year-end tasks.
