System Administrator

System Administrator | Hybrid | London

We are working with a client who is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to take ownership of IT systems and infrastructure across a dynamic, professional environment. Passionate about delivering high-quality IT support, ensuring system security, and driving operational excellence

The Role:

• Administering Active Directory (user and group management, security, access control).
• Supporting network directory, file, and system access in line with IT security policies.
• Automating and streamlining Active Directory workflows (provisioning & deprovisioning).
• Providing end-user support for enterprise and cloud-hosted services, including Azure SSO, MFA, and Windows Virtual Desktop.
• Monitoring and reporting on firmwide network performance.
• Troubleshooting hardware, software, printer, and network issues escalated from desktop support.
• Collaborating with the IT Security team on audits, assessments, and on-call rotations.
• Maintaining detailed system and network documentation.
• Preserving data confidentiality, integrity, and compliance across all IT systems.

What You Will Need:

• Experience in system administration (professional services experience a plus).
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory services and role-based security.
• Experience with Windows Group Policy Object configuration.
• Understanding of networking protocols (DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP).
• Hands-on experience with VMWare and Azure Cloud.
• Proficiency in Windows Server Administration, including patch management and performance monitoring.
• Exposure to Linux (desirable).
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with data centre operations (installing, racking, and cabling enterprise equipment).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
