System Administrator

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and self-sufficient Senior System Administrator to support our IT function on a project-specific basis. This temporary engagement is designed to create critical capacity within the team in preparation for an upcoming investor audit, where robust systems administration and operational stability are paramount.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a similar role and possess strong expertise in cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure, as well as Microsoft 365 (M365), in addition to on premise infrastructure experience. The successful candidate must be a team player but also capable of working independently on certain projects. Good communication and documentation skills are essential

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with internal teams to provide clear, audit-ready evidence and respond to technical requests from auditors.
• Conduct technical deep dives into network, firewall, VC, CCTV, and backup systems, addressing any gaps that could impact audit outcomes.
• Provide expert-level troubleshooting and remediation of critical issues relevant to infrastructure reliability and security posture.
• Ensure all IT operational processes and systems documentation are complete, consistent, and compliant with PCI-DSS and ISO27001.
• Manage, assess and validate cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and Microsoft 365 to ensure alignment with audit and compliance requirements.
• Support audit preparation for data centre-hosted systems, including review of maintenance, repair, and change control procedures.
• Strengthen and document endpoint management practices, including Intune, Windows Autopilot, and secure provisioning of laptops and Macs.
• Work independently on assigned projects while maintaining effective communication with the team.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong expertise in cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (M365) administration.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with ZenDesk or similar helpdesk systems.
• Experience with Okta or similar IAM SSO platform
• Proficiency in building and configuring laptops and Mac OSX systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot.
• Network experience is desirable.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills

• Strong technical troubleshooting skills
• Friendly and approachable willingness to support where needed
• Relevant certifications in AWS, Azure, or Microsoft 365.
• Experience with network configuration and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with IT security best practices.
