The Systems Integration Manager leads the development of the Corporate Security Systems and is responsible for its implementation. Reporting to the Head of Projects and working as a senior member of the Corporate Security Systems Management Team, the Systems Integration Manager will make application design decisions that satisfy both local and Global requirements.
A key part of the role is to create and maintain the systems, applications, models, templates and frameworks that will be used by the rest of the team in the implementation of the business requirements. The post-holder will be responsible for working within the framework of Corporate Security and UK IT applications, which includes Security and Fire management applications, Data Analysis solutions, Digital Communication solutions and other Emerging Digital technologies.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage the Development of key elements in relation to Corporate Security UK’s Integrated Security Strategy, ensuring that all of the projects are consistent with Strategy and adhere to the Iberdrola Global model and Architecture direction. Providing clear application design direction to Project Delivery Teams. Improving the knowledge of the Corporate Security team through mentoring, workshops, and other skill transfer methods.
- Responsible for supporting the Head of Projects with Security UK Strategy implementation through Application Design Roadmaps, Workshops, system upgrades etc. Accountable for ensuring the delivered solution meets business requirements.
- Early engagement on large projects and programmes; taking strategic direction from the Head of Projects and defining detailed Application Solutions for the business. Assisting the business in early scope definition, feasibility analysis and business case development.
- Proven ability to apply knowledge of businesses and sector in order to ensure Corporate Security UK development projects are fit for purpose and support business goals/strategy.
- Understand and ensure good practices in Cyber protection for both IT and OT systems.
- Responsible for developing and delivering training plans to Corporate Security UK and contract staff for existing and proposed Fire and Security solutions.
- Provides expert advice on a number of specific Fire and Security Application platforms to UK SPCS teams and projects.
- Provides expert UK input to global definition of strategy, standards and procedures relating to specific Fire and Security Application areas and agree Fire and Security Application solution designs with Head of Projects, Fire and Security Operational teams, business representatives and Solution Architecture leads.
- Organises own and team (including external contractors) workload over a 12-month planning horizon, including objective setting and performance management.
- Liaise with other support organisations such as ScottishPower Digital Transformation, Vodafone, Magdalane, General Services and their Contractors to ensure that a co-ordinated approach is taken for all tasks that may affect the successful delivery of the work programme.
- Champion and Lead Value Engineering activities and workshops to strive towards continual improvement of business processes and procedures for the Corporate Security UK function.
What You’ll Bring
- Degree educated in an Engineering or Computer Science discipline coupled with technical experience within a utility/generation environment. Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
- Demonstrable experience in design, delivery and evaluation of IT requirements for Fire and Security solutions and development of appropriate Global and Local solutions working with Project Teams and Solution Architecture Teams.
- Highly driven, decisive and focused, demonstrating strong leadership qualities to match the ScottishPower Senior Management Behavioural Framework
- Proven experience of proactively leading, directing, managing, motivating, developing, coaching and mentoring a team within an evolving environment.
- Proven ability to work through complex operational, technical / commercial, formulate solutions, and make sound, well informed decisions and committing to implementation through appropriate courses of action even in uncertain situations to achieve business objectives.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver against challenging timescales, with autonomy and a high degree of personal commitment, stamina and resilience.
- Proven ability to influence and build relationships at senior levels both internally within a Global Business and externally with key stakeholders.
- Experience in the development of management system documentation (Procedures and processes) as part of an ISO:9001 accredited system or similar
- Demonstrable experience in contracting processes, contracting strategies definition and execution
Minimum Criteria
- Degree educated in an Engineering or Computer Science discipline or equivalent industry experience
- Significant demonstrable experience of Integrated Fire and Security Systems, ensuring that Operational Business needs are catered for.
- Experience in support of multi-disciplined engineering resources
- Strong ability to manage own performance with focus on delivery, within a varied and challenging workload whilst producing high quality results
- Good understanding of Health and Safety Principles and their application
- The successful candidate will possess or have the ability to obtain, and retain, a Security Cleared status under the UK National Security Vetting scheme.
- The successful candidate will possess or have the ability to obtain, and retain, business Specific Authorisations including but not limited to Substation access.
