The Opportunity
We are a rapidly growing global high-voltage electrical engineering business supporting critical projects across the UK and internationally. As part of our continued expansion, we are seeking a highly driven, delivery-focused TA Specialist with a genuine passion for university engagement and early-careers hiring, alongside strong experience recruiting experienced engineering and site-based talent. This is a hands-on split role, with approximately 40% focused on graduate and intern hiring and 60% on experienced engineering and site roles. It is ideal for someone who is energised by spending time on campus, building student pipelines, and promoting our employer brand — while also being credible and effective in complex engineering recruitment
Key Responsibilities
Graduate & Intern Hiring (Approx.40%)
• Own end-to-end delivery for graduate, intern and placement hiring, managing live requisitions and ensuring timely, high-quality hires.
• Build deep, long-term relationships with target universities, technical colleges and student societies, becoming a visible and trusted presence on campus.
• Actively represent the business at careers fairs, university events, presentations and virtual sessions, confidently promoting engineering career pathways
• Take a creative, proactive approach to building our employer brand with student audiences, including targeted social media activity, early-careers platforms and direct engagement.
• Proactively source and engage early-careers talent through LinkedIn, student networks and early-talent communities.
• Deliver an engaging, inclusive and professional candidate experience, acting as a key ambassador for the business.
• Track early-careers hiring activity and use insights to continuously improve attraction and conversion.
Experienced Engineering & Site-Based Hiring (Approx. 60%)
• Manage full recruitment lifecycle for experienced engineers, technical specialists and site-based roles across multiple UK locations
.• Partner closely with engineering, construction and project leaders to understand technical requirements, skills shortages and hiring priorities.
• Develop direct sourcing strategies including market mapping, talent pipelining and proactive outreach in highly competitive engineering markets
.• Manage agency relationships where required, ensuring pace, quality and value.
• Support recruitment into live project environments, requiring flexibility and an understanding of operational and site-based hiring challenges.
Stakeholder & Team Collaboration
• Act as a trusted recruitment partner to hiring managers, offering market insight, hiring advice and constructive challenge.
• Collaborate with the wider People and Talent team to improve recruitment processes, tools and attraction strategies.
• Play an active role in shaping employer branding and attraction activity, particularly for early-careers and engineering audiences.
What We’re Looking For
Experience:
• Proven experience in Talent Acquisition or Recruitment, either in-house or agency.
• Strong, hands-on experience delivering graduate, intern or early-careers hiring, with clear enthusiasm for campus engagement.
• Experience recruiting experienced technical, engineering or site-based roles.
• Background in engineering, infrastructure, energy or construction environments is highly desirable.
