- NPL`s friendly and dynamic HR team support and recruit across all areas of the business and at all levels i.e. apprentices, scientists and all operational and functional roles as well at joint appointments. Recruitment and resourcing are critical and we work closely with our HR colleagues and the external market place to make sure that we have the right people, with the right skills, in the right locations to deliver our vision.
It will be key for this role holder to actively manage the performance and potential of part of the team, ensuring they are highly motivated, customer focused and continuously improving. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will have their own portfolio, as well as bring specialist advice and guidance to all at NPL, identification and implementation of best practice, all with a keen eye on innovative solutions and diversity and inclusion.

About You
Recruitment and resourcing are critical and we work closely with our HR colleagues and the external market place to make sure that we have the right people, with the right skills, in the right locations to deliver our vision. We are in a period of growth and are looking for an In House Recruitment Advisor, to join our busy team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a consultative end to end management of the recruitment process’
- Provide a pro-active face to face and telephone point of contact for managers and candidates who need advice on our current Recruitment process’
- Advice line managers on best recruitment methods for each vacancy, whether on-line, press advertising, agencies, job centres etc.
- Ensure all authorisation and compliance requirements are in place ahead of recruitment engagement
- Placing job advertisements on internal websites and in external publications
- Review and assess candidate applications, per role and across campaigns
- Arranging interviews/general recruitment & team administration
- Collating and giving feedback
- Conducting competency based interviews
- Offer management
- Candidate management throughout the recruitment process
- Managing and building relationships with key external suppliers
- Applicant Tracking System (ATS) data entry and management
- Assist in providing recruitment training
- Working closely with the resourcing team to monitor the recruitment budget
Person Specification

- Solid Experience of in house recruitment process (within or external to)
- Demonstrable candidate and client management experience
- Experience and knowledge of e-recruitment practices and recruitment technology including Applicant Tracking Systems, CRM & Social channels
- Direct sourcing experience including job boards and LinkedIn Recruiter
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- A strong team player
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to use initiative and influence key stakeholders
- Confident and collaborative
