The Role
To support the development, planning and implementation of talent development and leadership programmes across the Corporation and Lloyd’s Market (where required). Specifically, the role is responsible for supporting the delivery of talent development interventions and leadership programmes at junior, mid and senior levels. The role enables Lloyd’s to deliver on it’s leadership and Talent aspirations in line with the Global People strategy.
Principal Accountabilities
- Subject matter expert in Talent Development and Leadership Programmes that enable all colleagues to engage in their personal and professional development
- Lead the design & delivery of all Talent Development and Leadership Programmes utilising a mix of internal and supplier supported content and delivery
- Support the delivery of Leadership assessments and development planning
- Collaborate and support the Lloyd’s Global People Strategy working collaboratively across the Culture, Talent & Communities team, Heads of People and People operations to maximise impact and effectiveness.
- Developing high quality reports and presentation materials relating to Talent & Leadership development for various stakeholder across the Corporation.
- Manage the development planning for Executive and Senior Leadership Team Successors
- Lead project management for all talent development programmes
- Manage relationships with key delivery partners, suppliers, delegates and leaders ensuring delivery of expected impact and effectiveness
Skills
- Interpersonal and influencing skills including the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with executives and senior leadership in the Corporation and Market Forums ensuring the successful delivery of programmes and objectives
- Supplier Management – including the ability to manage multiple contracted services providers to time, cost and quality requirements
- Relationship Management – including the ability to manage relationships with representatives of numerous delivery partners ensuring programme delivery of the required impact and effectiveness
- Programme Management Skills – including the ability to manage multiple projects, at Corporation & Market level including tracking and reporting on functional action and programme including the Senior Leadership Team and Market Forums where required
- Analytical skills – including the ability to extract insights from complex data sets to generate development and leadership insights and benchmarking with business relevance.
- Communication and drafting skills – including the ability to develop content for all levels of talent and leadership development programmes
Knowledge
- Knowledge of Talent programme design, delivery and impact measurement
- Knowledge of talent pipeline programmes and providers
- Subject matter Leadership Assessment methodologies and providers
- Knowledge of succession planning and talent management processes
Experience
- Experience in the diagnosing, designing, developing, implementing and evaluating talent and leadership development programmes, solutions and interventions.
- Experience in Leadership development including assessment, development planning and outcome measurement
- Experience of managing complex internal, external and supplier relationships
- Experience of presenting to and influencing senior leaders within a large organisation
- Experience of managing programme delivery to defined budgets
