LAW Absolute is proud to partner with a prestigious Magic Circle law firm to recruit a Tax Knowledge Lawyer for a 12-month fixed-term contract covering parental leave. This is a rare opportunity for a highly skilled Tax Knowledge Lawyer, or an experienced Corporate Tax Lawyer seeking to transition into a knowledge-based role at the very top of the legal profession.

Start date: ASAP

Contract length: 12 months (FTC)

Location: London (with hybrid working)

Hours: Full-time (Part-time will also be considered)

The Role

You will play a key strategic role in the firm’s leading Tax team, delivering expert legal insight and practical support on complex, high-value tax matters, often with an international focus. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing timely, high-quality updates on UK and international tax developments
• Supporting complex cross-border transactions and mandates
• Delivering and developing training (technical and mentoring) for lawyers at all levels
• Producing and maintaining precedent materials, know-how, and other key knowledge resources
• Engaging in horizon scanning and thought leadership initiatives across the firm’s Tax practice

You will work closely with senior stakeholders and be embedded in a collaborative, dynamic, and inclusive team of leading tax professionals.

About You

• You are a UK-qualified solicitor with significant experience in Corporate Tax law
• You may already be in a Knowledge Lawyer role or seeking to transition from a fee-earning position
• You have excellent technical skills and the ability to distil complex tax law into practical, actionable insights
• You enjoy sharing knowledge, mentoring others, and being at the forefront of legal innovation
• You are collaborative, intellectually curious, and committed to excellence
