Salary: £32,916.00 - £51,048.00 PA (MPS1 - UPR3)

Job type: Full Time or Part-Time considered. Permanent post.

The Design and Technology Department

Our well-resourced Design and Technology department is a hub for creativity and practical skills. The team of five experienced teachers, supported by two technicians, covers food technology, resistant materials, graphics, hospitality & catering and product design. We boast excellent facilities, including a fully equipped workshop, a food room, and a CAD/CAM room with two laser cutters.

The Role: Design and Technology Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Design and Technology teacher to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for both newly qualified and experienced professionals to make a significant impact.

You Will

  • Inspire students through hands-on, creative, and problem-solving projects.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that challenge and support all learners.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities.
  • Maintain a safe and stimulating workshop environment.
  • Teach Key Stage 3 and 4, with a focus on KS4 Product Design.
  • Be able to teach KS3 resistant materials, graphics, and food technology as required.
  • Utilize and teach CAD/CAM effectively.
  • Use a range of computer packages including techsoft 2D design, google sketchup, photoshop and illustrator.
