Cornwallis Academy is a ‘Good’ school on the outskirts of Loose, Maidstone with over 1300 students on roll aged 11 to 18. Cornwallis’ aim is to provide all students with the best educational provision.

Job Description
The Gateway, part of Future Schools Trust, are seeking an additional member of staff to join our dedicated team. The Gateway offers a specialised inclusion provision for the students within the Trust.
We are looking for a colleague to deliver our Life Skills curriculum. We welcome applications from qualified and unqualified teachers. This role would also be suitable for an HLTA with experience of delivering Life Skills looking for an opportunity to develop their role further.
The successful candidate will lead and support the learning of our students through our Life Skills programme of study. This will include vocational activities such as cooking, communication, money management, personal care, allotments & gardening, careers and many more.
This is your opportunity to work closely with an expert team to motivate and inspire students to gain the tools and skills they need to thrive beyond the classroom. The role will require you to use your knowledge and creativity to plan structured, motivating lessons and work closely with other teachers to embed life skills into everyday learning.
The role will also include contributing to a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment, supporting with the smooth running of the school day.
