🌟 Join Our Team at ACS Egham – One-to-One Teaching Assistant (Middle School)

📍 Location: ACS International School Egham

📅 Start Date: August 2025

🕒 Full-Time | Term-Time Only

🕒 Duration: One fixed year initially, with the potential to be extended

ACS Egham is looking for a compassionate, proactive, and experienced One-to-One Teaching Assistant to support a Middle School student on a full-time basis from August 2025.

You’ll work closely with our SENCO and Student Support Team to help one student thrive—academically, emotionally, and socially—within a vibrant, inclusive international school environment.

What You’ll Do:

Provide tailored 1:1 support across the school day
Work collaboratively with teachers and specialists to plan and adapt learning
Encourage independence, inclusion, and positive self-esteem
Build supportive relationships with the student’s family and external professionals
Support learning both in and beyond the classroom, including school trips

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Supporting Teaching & Learning
Experience supporting students with literacy, social, or emotional needs
Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
Calm, empathetic, and flexible approach
Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality

Desirable:

Knowledge of the IB programme
Experience supporting Dyspraxia or working with therapists
EFL/ESL teaching skills
Awareness of adolescent development
