Primary Teaching Assistant

Graduate Opportunity | SEN & SEMH Focus | Immediate Start

Are you a high-achieving graduate from a leading UK university looking to build hands-on experience in education?

We are working with a welcoming and inclusive Primary School seeking a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This role is ideal for graduates considering a future in teaching, educational psychology, speech and language therapy or child mental health.

The Role:

Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis across KS1 or KS2
Working closely with the SENCo and class teacher to implement tailored support strategies
Assisting pupils with communication, emotional regulation and classroom engagement
Providing consistent academic and pastoral support throughout the school day

The Ideal Candidate:

Graduate from a top UK university (Russell Group or equivalent preferred)

Degree in Psychology, Education, Sociology, English, Maths or a related subject

Previous experience supporting children with SEN and or SEMH (school, tutoring, mentoring, care or youth work)

Calm, resilient and genuinely passionate about supporting young learners
