The School of Education offers a variety of well-established and highly respected programmes. The School seeks to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic colleague to work as a teaching associate to deliver teaching on its MA Person-Centred Experiential Counselling and Psychotherapy (PCECP) course with possible opportunities of contributing to other BA and MA courses.
About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an educator with relevant skills and qualifications to contribute to teaching, tutoring and development on the MA Person-Centred Experiential Counselling and Psychotherapy (PCECP) course.
About You:
We are seeking someone with:
- BACP, UKCP or NCS registration/accreditation
- proven competence in person-centred counselling and group facilitation
- substantive teaching experience in the HE or FE sector
- a commitment to fostering inclusive and research-informed teaching practices
- the ability to contribute to wider discussions and developments about education beyond subject specialism.
The post is offered on a 1 year fixed-term basis, full time (36.25 hours per week) contract. The role starts on 1st October 2025. Job share arrangements may be considered. Requests for secondment from internal candidates may be considered on the basis that prior agreement has been sought from both your current line manager and the manager of your substantive post, if you are already undertaking a secondment role.
Applicants should hold a postgraduate qualification in (person-centred) Counselling or equivalent. They should also have teaching experience in higher or further education in the UK and experience of supporting students.
