Working as part of our Product Content team, you will be responsible for capturing the direct tax compliance business requirements (tax rules, tax return structure, E-filing capability) in relation to our ONESOURCE Corporate Tax software.

About The Role

As the Team Lead, Tax Content you will:

  • Work with internal and external tax content providers to ensure all products meet current legislative requirements.
  • Build and update complex spreadsheets (tax templates) containing tax rules and calculations. These tax templates form the basis of the software used by our customers to meet their tax compliance obligations.
  • Research the tax requirements for new and existing jurisdictions/features: review tax documentation, tax authority websites and other source documents to create clear and succinct change requirement specifications for the tax content development team to follow.
  • Write test case scenarios that are comprehensive and easy to follow with expected outcomes, supporting change requirement specifications, enabling the software changes to be fully tested and validated. Monitor and assist the QA team with the execution of test plans when required, ensuring the process aligns to requirements from a tax perspective.
  • Test new developments in the platform ensuring they meet the business requirements.


Key Relationships:

  • The main interactions of this role will be working with other members of the Tax Content team, the QA team and the platform team.
  • The role will also include dealing with customers and partners.
  • The role will involve delegating, supervising and reviewing the work of other junior members of the team.


About You

You are a good fit for this role, if you:

  • are experienced tax professional with detailed knowledge of the tax compliance domain.
  • have prior ONESOURCE Corporate Tax experience and knowledge (ideally with experience of building content and templates).
  • have knowledge of multiple taxes/countries is an advantage.
  • have an organized and methodical approach to work, especially attention to detail.
  • have great verbal and written communication skills, a tactful diplomat.
  • are proven problem solver with demonstrable analytical skills.
  • have ability to handle multiple tasks and use own initiative.
  • have ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • are agile and capable of dealing with stakeholders from different teams and at a senior level.
  • understand tax software systems.
  • have the ability to work virtually with people in different locations both within the UK and globally.
  • have interest in technology (including AI) and demonstrable knowledge of software systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.


Education/ Certifications requirements:

  • Tax and / or Accountancy qualification
  • Educated to degree level
