Responsibilities:
- Management of the day to day ramp operation
- Meeting performance SLA's
- Managing staff members including coaching, training and motivating.
- Ensure the smooth running of the Ramp operation
- Maintain a disciplined workforce
- Manage health and safety within the workplace
- Deal with staff issues on a day to day basis
- Ensure staff and equipment are allocated to flights in a timely manner
- Liaise with Customers
- Compliance with all CAA & GAL Bye-laws
- Attend operational meetings
- Support the Ramp Manager in all areas of the business
- Have an understanding of the requirements of Good Distribution Practice (GDP) for pharmaceutical and medicinal products and the rules and regulations that affect dnata
- Be aware of the role of the Responsible Person (RP) within the designated site for the handling of pharmaceutical and medicinal products under GDP processes
- To undertake any other duties as required by management, commensurate with the grade of the post
- Promote at all times the Vision, Mission, Values of dnata
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Full UK/EU driving licence – minimum 1 year's driving experience
- Basic computer/system skills
- Airport experience in a ramp and/or spur environment for a minimum of 6 months within the last 2 years (essential)
- Safety driven with the ability to maintain a safe and secure working environment.
- Pre-employment checks - ability to achieve successful completion of the referencing (checkable 5 year employment/education history) and criminal record check procedures to meet dnata and CAA security regulations, and a satisfactory medical report
