Tech, Data & AI Regulation Lawyer | 5+PQE | Magic Circle Firm

Our client, a tier 1 ranked law firm for technology & data, is seeking a talented and forward-thinking lawyer to join their Tech, AI & Data Regulation practice in London. This opportunity offers exposure to cutting-edge legal work in the rapidly evolving fields of artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, technology, generative AI (Gen-AI), and data regulation, including the EU Data Act.

You will advise global clients on AI development, licensing, deployment, and data privacy in a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape, including digital market regulations like the EU AI Act and the Digital Markets Act (DMA).

Team's Capabilities:

• Lead high-stakes, cross-border mandates in AI, data and technology regulation.
• Advise on AI and Gen-AI technologies, including issues around licensing and deployment.
• Provide strategic guidance on data protection, privacy compliance, and cybersecurity within the AI space.
• Navigate complex regulatory frameworks such as the EU Data Act, AI Act, and other relevant digital regulations.
• Develop and execute data transfer strategies and risk assessments for global operations.
• Assist with M&A transactions, strategic collaborations, and licensing agreements related to AI and data technologies.
• Shape responses to new digital legislation.

Ideal Candidate:

• 5+PQE
• Strong academics
• Experience from a leading law firm
• Experience of the EU Data Act/AI Act
