A leading challenger bank is seeking a qualified Technical Accountant to support a critical reporting period. This is a high-impact interim role suited to a seasoned professional with deep expertise in IFRS, UK GAAP, and regulatory reporting.

The Assignment

This 3-month contract offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic finance function, providing technical accounting leadership during a key phase of statutory and regulatory reporting. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance, accuracy, and clarity across financial statements and disclosures.

Key Deliverables

• Preparation and review of statutory accounts under IFRS and UK GAAP.
• Technical guidance on complex accounting areas including financial instruments and lease accounting.
• Support for regulatory submissions and liaison with external auditors.
• Contribution to month-end and year-end close processes.
• Advisory input on accounting policy and process improvements.

Candidate Profile

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with strong post-qualification experience.
• Proven track record in technical accounting within financial services or banking.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
• Strong communicator with the ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders.
• Available to start immediately or within short notice.
