Based at Enderby Head Office, Leicester. Typically 5 days in the office, with flexible hours between 8am and 6pm.
As a Technical and Testing Support Officer, your role is pivotal in maintaining our lab's high standards and operational efficiency. You'll be instrumental in managing our Quality Management System to meet requirements and ensuring meticulous attention to detail across all our processes. Beyond this, you'll play a crucial part in upholding our Health and Safety standards, actively contributing to a secure and compliant work environment. A key aspect of your role will also be to take the lead on our automation initiatives, driving forward new processes to improve efficiency.
If you are passionate about quality, safety, and continuous improvement in a dynamic lab setting, then this could represent the ideal next step in your career journey.

- Manage the Quality Management System in line with ISO 17025, including reporting on audits, correlations, and standard operating procedures.
- Conduct daily and monthly checks, monitor standard atmospheric data, and review sub-contractor performance.
- Oversee all aspects of document control, implement impartiality and confidentiality agreements, and manage corrective action plans.
- Manage the calibration and maintenance of equipment, ensuring certificates are up-to-date and reviewing uncertainty of measurement and decision rules.
- Ensure health and safety compliance by maintaining chemical and consumables inventories, documenting near misses and accidents, and managing waste.
- Conduct safety floor walks, maintain COSHH and risk assessments in collaboration with the Health and Safety department, and manage team PPE and PAT testing.
- Take the lead in driving automation projects forward, including Phase 1 (booking in, reporting, storage/filing, and digital test cards) and Phase 2 (end-to-end process and paperwork reduction).
About You:

Your collaborative mindset and willingness to support colleagues will be key. You'll also be skilled in Google Suite, with a flexible approach and the ability to assist in all areas of the laboratory when needed.
