Technical Assessor / Senior Technical Assessor – West Midlands

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 DOE | Type: Permanent

SRG Talent is partnering with a nationwide waste management and environmental services company to recruit a Technical Assessor / Senior Technical Assessor. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a scientific background who wants to grow their career in the waste industry.

What you’ll do:

Conduct technical assessments of waste operations to ensure compliance with regulations.
Classify chemicals and analyse waste streams for safe treatment or transfer.
Recommend cost-effective waste processing and treatment routes.
Advise on permits, certifications, and compliance requirements.
Work closely with regulatory bodies, clients, and internal teams.
Support the smooth running of inbound and outbound waste streams.

What we’re looking for:

HNC or degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Environmental Science, or similar.
Experience as a technical assessor or site chemist in the waste industry.

Knowledge of ADR, WM3, waste regulations; DGSA, IOSH, IMDG preferred.

Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Working Hours & Benefits:

Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 5:30pm (flexible start/finish)
