What do the team do?
As a member of the Compliance department, it will be your responsibility to assist with technical queries in relation to audit, financial reporting, ethics and some specialist areas.
What will I be doing?
As a
Technical Assistant Manager you will have ownership of the following tasks:
- Assisting with technical queries in relation to financial reporting, audit, money laundering, ethics, company secretarial and some specialist reporting areas such as pensions, SAR, FCA, etc.
- Researching technical issues and be able to produce a summary of findings.
- Providing ad hoc training on key audit, financial reporting, money laundering, and practical areas for staff as required.
- Drafting guidance for our internal intranet, for clients and news articles.
- Drafting responses to consultation documents.
- Keeping technically up to date on financial reporting, auditing issues, and issues affecting the accounting profession.
What experience do I need?
Whilst having the following experience is advantageous, we value passion and potential. If you meet the minimum criteria listed below and are eager to develop yourself, we would love to hear from you:
- A professional accounting qualification – ACA/ACCA (minimum criteria).
- IFRS knowledge and experience (minimum criteria).
- Audit experience preferable.
- Ability to summarise and report on findings in a concise manner.
- Detail orientated approach to work.
- Good IT skills.
