NCE Offshore Technical Sales Management is anchored in Vestas Technology & Operations, where new product ideas and technologies are developed, matured, tested, and improved.
Vestas Technology & Operations (VTO) represents Vestas' entire industrial system from Technology to Procurement, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality. Our department is the offshore-focused arm of our Vestas Technology & Operations - NCE regional organization, providing the link between our regional business unit and our customer needs towards the central technology and Research & Development (R&D) team, responsible for global product development in Vestas.
Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for the technical solution during the sales phase of offshore projects
- Supervise technical value engineering and effectively contribute to technical negotiations within the Sales project team
- Ensure timely and accurate responses to customer enquiries, including clarifications, deviations to tenders, and technical annexes
- Collaborate closely with the Sales team to support offshore sales activities following a comprehensive induction
- Build strong relationships with key technical stakeholders in customer organizations and advocate for their requirements within Vestas
- Act as the primary link between the Offshore Sales organization and Vestas R&D team for assigned projects and topics
- Develop a deep understanding of market dynamics, customer business cases, and both general and project-specific technical requirements
Qualifications
- Engineering degree (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related) or commercial background with a deep technical interest
- Experience in technical negotiations (heavy machinery or power plant equipment will be beneficial)
- Background in wind energy or industrial plant environments would be highly valued
- Fluency in business English, both spoken and written
- Proficiency in additional Scandinavian or European languages (highly valued)
- Commercial insight combined with ability to understand complex technical concepts
- Willingness to learn and grow within a technical sales environment

- Solid communication skills and experience engaging with technical and commercial stakeholders
- Flexibility, organization, and collaboration in challenging and high-pressure tendering environments
- Results orientation with creativity in building technical value propositions and identifying optimization opportunities

- Professional presentation skills and confidence in presenting to senior business stakeholders
- Willingness to travel across the region as required

Additional Information
Your primary work location will be Edinburgh, UK but we can also consider Aarhus, Denmark as a location. Travel might be expected up to 15% of the time during a year.
