What will you do as a technical consultant?

As a Technical Consultant, you will be at the forefront of innovation in our Wealth Management solutions, based in either our Netherlands or London office. You’ll collaborate with global colleagues within Ortec Finance and our international partners to shape the financial planning experience of the future.

In this role, you’ll take a leading position in guiding clients and partners as they integrate our cutting-edge Financial and Wealth Planning software OPAL into their platforms. You will advise on complex data integrations, co-create tailored reporting frameworks, and train technical teams to deliver seamless end-user experiences.

You will support clients in aligning technology with strategic goals. Working closely with our product and development teams, you’ll help translate complex business needs into smart, scalable features, driving both optimization and innovation.

With your seniority, you'll also mentor colleagues, contribute to thought leadership, and help steer client engagements from a technical and strategic perspective. Whether working from home, our office, or on-site with clients around the world, you’ll bring expertise, energy, and a passion for empowering financial institutions through technology.

Who are you?

You bring strong analytical capabilities and a solid foundation in basic programming like Python, VBA excel, Power BI, etc. You have experience working with APIs, data integration, and financial modelling, and you're confident navigating the intersection of technology and investment advice. With a natural curiosity for financial markets and emerging tech trends, you know how to translate complex developments into practical, client-focused solutions. Your communication skills allow you to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across cultures and time zones. You think creatively, act proactively, and enjoy working in diverse, high-paced environments. Above all, you’re driven by impact: collaborating with clients, colleagues, and partners to build the most advanced and trusted wealth planning solution in the world! In addition, the following aspects are important:

• You have a master’s degree in quantitative finance, econometrics or an exact science
• You have at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Being fluent in English is a requirement.
• Experience in client interactions and project management.
• Knowledge of basic programming, such as Python, VBA Excel, Power BI, etc.
