Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven
Technical Delivery Manager (Microwave) to lead the end-to-end delivery of microwave transmission projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing microwave network deployments, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and budget while meeting technical and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management:
- Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of microwave transmission rollout projects.
- Manage project milestones, risks, and dependencies.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely delivery.
- Technical Oversight:
- Oversee the design, integration, and optimization of microwave links.
- Ensure compliance with technical standards and regulatory requirements.
- Validate line-of-sight (LOS) surveys and path engineering results.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management:
- Manage relationships with OEMs (e.g., Ericsson, Huawei, NEC, Ceragon) and third-party contractors.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams including RF planning, transport, and operations.
- Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure all delivered solutions meet safety, performance, and quality benchmarks.
- Conduct regular audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Provide regular updates on project progress to senior management.
- Maintain accurate records of technical configurations, site documentation, and test results.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in microwave transmission networks, with at least 3 years in a project or delivery management role.
- Strong understanding of microwave technologies (e.g., PDH, SDH, IP/MPLS, Ethernet).
- Hands-on experience with microwave planning tools (e.g., Pathloss, Radio Mobile, Atoll).
- Proven track record of managing large-scale deployments in telecom environments.
- Familiarity with site acquisition, tower construction, and integration processes.
Preferred Skills
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
- Knowledge of 5G transport network requirements.
- Experience with NMS platforms (e.g., Huawei U2000, Ericsson ENM).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

- This job is a full-time permanent role, 8am-5pm Monday to Friday from our Widnes Office
