About the Team
You will join the Estates Engineering team within Estates, Facilities and Capital Development (EFCD), supporting the safe, compliant and efficient operation of the University estate.
The team works closely with colleagues across EFCD, the Helpdesk, timetabling teams and specialist contractors to deliver planned maintenance, respond to reactive issues and coordinate disruptive works with minimal impact on teaching, research and day-to-day operations.
This is a busy, collaborative environment where clear communication, strong coordination and effective administrative control directly improve service delivery and customer experience. The role offers excellent exposure to estates engineering operations, compliance management, performance reporting, customer service excellence and continuous improvement activity.
About the Role
As Technical Engineering Co-ordinator, you will provide day-to-day technical and administrative support to help the Engineering team operate efficiently. Acting as a key link between the EFCD Helpdesk, engineers and contractors, you will ensure information is accurate, timely and customer-focused.

This is a permanent, full-time role working 35 hours per week, based across University sites as required.
About You
We are looking for an organised and proactive individual with strong communication skills and the ability to explain information clearly, both verbally and in writing.
You will be confident prioritising and managing a varied workload, working flexibly to support colleagues and building effective working relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.
You will also bring strong IT skills (e.g. Word, Excel and the ability to learn in-house systems), experience maintaining accurate records and producing management information or reports, and essential experience of working in a maintenance or technical environment.
Experience of CAFM systems (particularly Planon), purchasing systems (e.g. SAP, P2P or Oracle) and web-based recruitment systems is highly desirable. We welcome applications from candidates who are customer-focused and motivated to improve processes and service quality.
