Role Purpose

As Azets continues its growth journey in the UK and advances its learning strategy, we are introducing a Technical Learning Facilitator role to drive continuous development for our people. This role will play a key part in delivering engaging and effective technical training across our main service lines; Audit, Tax, and ABAS, ensuring a consistent and high-quality learning experience.

Living our values, you will design, facilitate, and co-create technical training content, working closely with the Technical Training Lead and Learning, Learning Champions and key business stakeholders to align with the business’s technical learning strategy. You will be responsible for delivering both in-person and virtual training, embedding the 70:20:10 learning model to support career progression from early careers to CPD and regulatory updates.

Additionally, you will manage training programmes through our learning management system and contribute to Azets Reach, our talent development programme. As part of this role, you will have cross-region delivery responsibilities, requiring extensive and regular travel across the UK to meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Facilitation of Learning Programmes

  • Support with the design and deliver blended technical learning programmes, ensuring the development of skills and knowledge across the regions and service lines, with cross-region delivery as required
  • Facilitate engaging online and face-to-face training sessions tailored to different job roles and experience levels
  • Own and deliver the Azets Technical Induction & Onboarding Programme, ensuring a seamless learning experience for new joiners
  • Work closely with the Technical Training Lead, Technical Learning Champions, Partners and key stakeholders to build engaged, high-performing teams that contribute to revenue and profitability targets.

Expert Guidance & Relationship Building

  • Provide expert advice to regional teams on available learning tools and training solutions to support technical development
  • Manage and maintain technical/CPD training content, ensuring all updates are available in collaboration with approved training suppliers
  • Support the Technical Training Lead to develop and deliver technical development initiatives as needed
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships across Audit, Tax, and ABAS to support the L&D strategy and address evolving business needs
  • Leverage technology, automation, data insights, and external partnerships to optimise training delivery and efficiency
  • Manage external learning providers, ensuring quality and governance of content
  • Track and report on technical L&D budget projections and expenditures to the Technical Learning Lead.

Operational Excellence

  • Support the development and delivery of Technical CPD Learning, ensuring training is tailored, relevant, and meets both business and professional body requirements
  • Collaborate with senior team members and people teams to customise training solutions for various job families and career levels
  • Oversee the administration and logistics of learning programmes, ensuring seamless execution, including enrolment, attendance management, and CPD tracking
  • Conduct training needs analysis and curriculum planning with stakeholders, ensuring learning interventions address business priorities

Person Specification

Technical knowledge

  • Recognised as expert in learning, with knowledge of the technical field
  • Professional qualifications, are desirable but not essential (e.g. recognised accounting qualification)
  • Evidence of professional and personal growth through recognised relevant experience
  • Previous knowledge of the accountancy market
  • Ability to build the capability of the talent both technically and culturally

Experience

  • Demonstratable experience in building trusting and collaborative relationships
  • Experience in supporting a strategic plan
  • Building and implementing clear communication strategies
  • Introducing and utilising meaningful metrics and KPIs to support business growth strategies.

Skills

  • Experience in designing and delivering blended learning solutions both digitally and face to face with experience using Learning Management Systems
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a small team and able to use own initiative
  • Experience in various evaluations methods
  • A passion for learning and developing people
  • Excellent communication and networking skills and the ability to influence teams and other stakeholders
  • Consults with others about decisions, developing appropriate solutions to situations
  • Effective change management, including managing risks and opportunities, whilst motivating others
