Technical Manager – MPS
(MPS - ERSA)
This position is for a key role in the Minerals Processing Systems team. The role has a particular focus on technical support including practical installation, on-site plant optimisation, commissioning and troubleshooting, however, the successful applicant will also participate in the functions of the wider MPS team in respect to equipment selection, performance estimations, plant audits, efficiency improvement recommendations, plant layouts and flow sheets and equipment applications training. The role will demand strong practical engineering skills for the on-site element in conjunction with experience of crushing and screening process design and evaluation.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide technical sales support for the MPS product range
- Deliver on-site plant installation, commissioning and troubleshooting
- Provide Technical training on MPS products
- Communicate effectively with customers and distributors during on-site works
- Gather and collate performance data on equipment and applications
Experience And Qualifications
- Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent or
- Ideally having a minimum of 10 years with crushing and screening experience
- Proven competence in plant optimisation, commissioning and troubleshooting
- Strong practical engineering skills and experience. Electrical / control experience would also be advantageous
- Proven abilities in problem-solving
- Experience of working in a customer facing environment
- Experience of AutoCAD and/or Creo/Pro-Engineer packages advantageous
- Ability to communicate effectively internally and externally with strong presentation, report writing and oral skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-discipline team
- Willingness to travel internationally
- Strong planning and execution skills
- Ability to handle and complete multiple projects under tight deadlines
