We are currently recruiting for a
Technical officer based at our Craigavon or Grantham site, with a 5 days onsite working model. To provide skilled technical support for Supply Chain assurance. Request information from suppliers, to support approval of supplier and/or materials/services provided. Routine assessment of information provided; approve against defined criteria. Provide support to sites on queries / audits / NCNs/ resolution of problems with materials / services. Provide conduit between sites and suppliers as required.
Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain suppliers on Point 74 / Foods Connected
- Support suppliers in their use of the Point 74/Foods Connected systems
- Assess / evaluate information provided by suppliers against standard requirements to support the supplier approval process.
- Maintain data on Sharepoint as required; ensuring accurate and up to date
- Maintain risk assessment information, ensuring accurate and up to date
- Support sites in queries on materials / suppliers.
- Coordinate the Non-conformance process; assessing and advising to ensure NCNs are valid and responded to appropriately.
- Track and report supplier performance (E.g. NCNs, communications, etc)
- Collate, analyse and report data as required.
- Support sites and team as required
Essential Criteria
- Food related qualification or experience in a similar role
- Computer literate - familiar with Excel & Word, comfortable using computer systems.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to organise and prioritise workload.
- Good attention to detail
- Logical approach
- Uses initiative, self-motivated and assertive.
- Able to travel to internal sites or suppliers if required
Desirable Criteria
- Experience of working in factory technical team
- 3rd Level Qualification in relevant discipline
- Working knowledge of BRC standard, HACCP and Food Legislation
- Able to demonstrate experience in establishing & maintaining relationships with suppliers, external contacts, management colleagues etc
- Auditing skills
