About You

As a Technical Production Coordinator you will be expected to produce high-quality work on a variety of projects and you will have sole responsibility for a number of tasks. The Technical Production Coordinator plays a vital role in the running of projects and you will be in contact with a wide range of suppliers engaged by DDA. You will work with the Event Producing team on the day-to-day running of a range of projects and ensuring technical aspects and detailed CAD drawings are completed to the highest level. You will grow and develop quickly to take on bigger projects and tasks to support the team further as your knowledge and skillset intensifies, and you will have an aspiration to help to produce world class events. 


Your Key Responsibilities Include:


Delivery

  • Working with Event Producers and the rest of the team to devise an event that meets the client’s brief and budget, while working within logistical parameters
  • Gathering technical quotes and documentation from production suppliers
  • Creating accurate CAD drawings to accompany our proposals and events
  • Recommending technical elements / equipment for proposals and events
  • Working closely with our H&S supplier to manage and implement a safe working environment for our team, suppliers and events as a whole
  • Supporting and supplementing the team’s technical output in planning and delivery
  • Research of production suppliers to add to our roster
  • Checking and reporting on the event’s progress
  • Updating the team on social media news, trends and innovative events
  • Ensuring your work is checked and sent to the client on time and to the highest level
  • Taking on smaller projects, which you will manage end to end with the support of more experienced colleagues
  • Providing the best possible work for your line manager at all times

Skills & Experience

  • AutoCAD software - proficient / intermediate level

To create accurate and detailed event floorplans from scratch

To make amends / adjustments to existing CAD plans

Use CAD plans to share detailed dimensions and technical requirements to suppliers

  • Working knowledge of technical disciplines including theatrical and event lighting, audio and video
  • Accuracy and attention to detail allowing for active contribution to pitches, event briefs and brainstorms
  • Good time management skills, allowing for quick turnaround on tight deadlines
  • Good communication skills in order to effectively communicate with suppliers
  • Strong scheduling and organisational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized to meet multiple deadlines across a variety of projects
  • A team player but also able to work independently
  • Good ‘people skills’, for working with a range of colleagues and clients
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Pro-active & intuitive
  • A passion for learning, and getting under the skin of client businesses to give them the best possible outcomes
  • Confidence, tact and a persuasive manner
  • Good spoken and written communication skills

This is a full time position based at DDA’s London office in Euston Square, London.

Salary band 28 - 35k per year
