Role: Technical Program Manager

Experience Level: 12+ Years

Work Location: London, UK (on-site)

Responsibilities:

• Lead and govern a large-scale Data Modernization Program across multiple business units, ensuring alignment with enterprise transformation goals.
• Define and execute the program roadmap, KPIs, and milestones, while managing risks, dependencies, and escalations.
• Drive migration and modernization of data warehouses, data lakes, and pipelines on GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub)
• Partner with cloud architects and data engineers to design scalable, secure, and compliant data ecosystems.
• Establish robust governance frameworks including steering committees, reporting cadences, and executive dashboards.
• Manage cross-functional teams across geographies, fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Influence and align C-level stakeholders by translating business goals into actionable technical strategies.
• Oversee data governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements, ensuring standards are embedded in delivery.
• Champion adoption of modern data stack practices and Agile/SAFe methodologies for efficient program delivery.
• Ensure delivery excellence and measurable outcomes, balancing technical execution with business value realization.
• Act as the primary escalation and decision point for program issues, ensuring program momentum and stakeholder confidence.
• Mentor teams and create an environment of continuous improvement and innovation within the program.

Required Skills:

• 12–15 years of overall experience, with at least 8–10 years in Technical Program Management roles.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale data modernization or cloud transformation programs for global enterprises.
• Strong working knowledge of both GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage) and AWS (Redshift, S3, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions).
• Expertise in data platforms, data lakes, data warehouses, ETL/ELT modernization, and data governance frameworks.
• Hands-on understanding of cloud migration strategies, hybrid architectures, and modernization frameworks.
• Experience in multi-vendor engagement management and executive stakeholder management.
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scaled Agile (SAFe) practices for managing distributed teams.
• Excellent executive reporting, presentation, and communication skills with C-level stakeholders.
• Certifications (Preferred): PMP, PgMP, SAFe Program Consultant/Agilist, GCP Professional Data Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect.
