Technical Project Lead

What you’ll do…

As a PMO Technical Project Lead, you will play a key role leading the successful planning, execution, and monitoring of projects within our battery cell manufacturing facility. Your primary responsibility will be the managing the delivery of technical manufacturing projects on our Gigafactory programmes. In this role you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all project activities are delivered on time, and within scope and budget. You will also be responsible for managing risk, change, reporting and timing for your project of work.

Reporting into the Manager of Process Engineering Programmes, you will be responsible for:

• Develop and managed detailed schedules for manufacturing projects, incorporating equipment installation, production trials, and factory commissioning.
• Create budgets for manufacturing projects, including machinery procurement and engineering resources. Monitor expenditures against budgets and report deviations.
• Manage scope changes during project delivery, assessing change impact on project timelines and budgets and driving clear decisions

The UK business headquarters is in the Midlands and we are currently building a battery manufacturing facility in Bridgwater, Somerset.

What you'll bring...

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, or a related field is required.
• Good knowledge of manufacturing systems and processes
• Excellent programme management skills, with proven ability to deliver complex engineering projects
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing solutions.
