Technical Solutions Manager – Join the EMEA Applications Team at GES

About the Role

We’re looking for a driven and experienced Technical Solutions Manager to join our EMEA IT Applications team at Global Experience Specialists (GES). This is a brilliant opportunity to play a key role in delivering smart, forward-thinking technical solutions that support some of the most exciting live events across the region.

You will work closely with stakeholders from across the globe translating complex business needs into practical, scalable technical solutions. You’ll be hands-on taking ownership of projects from conception to delivery.

You will have solid experience in technical project management and solution delivery, ideally within a dynamic, fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand Business Problems: Work closely with BA’s and stakeholders to identify and analyse business problems, requirements, and objectives.
• Provide Technical Solutions: Develop and implement technical solutions that address business problems, leveraging a wide range of technologies and functions.
• Drive Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation by exploring new technologies, methodologies, and best practices to explore & deliver creative and effective solutions. Encourage team members to think outside the box and propose innovative ideas that can drive business success.
• Project Management: Manage technical projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
• Run Proof of Concepts: Lead the development and execution of proof of concepts to validate the feasibility and effectiveness of proposed solutions. Assess the results and refine solutions based on feedback and performance metrics.
• Plan Solution Architectures: Design and plan comprehensive solution architectures that align with business goals and technical requirements. Ensure scalability, reliability, and security.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in technical project management and solution delivery.
• Strong understanding of various technologies and their applications in solving business problems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
