Role
SP Energy Networks (SPEN) is part of Scottish Power, we provide power on behalf of supply
companies through a network of cables and power lines that we own and maintain. Through our
transmission and distribution network we provide power to customers in Merseyside, Cheshire, North Wales and North Shropshire as well as Central and Southern Scotland.
As a technical Support (Design) you will provide Support in the delivery of the ENATS 43 - 8, ETR
132 and reactive works including ESQCR, HFR and General Enquiry Cases ensuring the appropriate
circuits and sites are issued to contractors and support in the reporting and programming of cutting
works. This will include planning outages to clear sites impacted by vegetation.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Monitor and Report progress of current vegetation management programmes including issuing work to Service partners via SPEN Vegetation Management System.
- Planning outages through systems including District Outage Planner (DOP).
- Creating clear job packs with detailed site information, works description, clear location, customer care plans and consents.
- Provide support in preparing presentation for Monthly Service Partner performance meetings.
- Carry out analysis on business performance data and prepare reports and presentations for Programme Manager.
- Prioritisation of activities to achieve departmental goals and minimise risk.
- Delivery of additional business initiatives in line with operating plans requirements.
What You’ll Bring
- Ability to work as part of a multi-functional team.
- Experienced in preparing analysis, reports and presentations for senior management, numerically articulate with strong attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of Energy Networks IT systems including SAP, DOP and Utility Map Viewer (UMV)
- Ability to devise solutions to complex problems/ challenges.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office systems including SharePoint and other Microsoft applications
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation.
- Developed customer service skills
