We need an experienced Energy Professional who has training experience to upskill our employees in areas such as Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, H&S, Operational Management, Legislation, Internal Control and Operating Systems, Gas Capture and Delivery systems. You will need a recognised qualification in either a Mechanical or Electrical Field.
Main Responsibilities Auditing on-site working practices to ensure these conform with Company practices and safety guidelines and the remedy of any identified problems.
Induct and ensure competence of new starters to a level where they may work unsupervised.
Develop, Update, Collate, Assess and Deliver all aspects on Internal Development Modules
Review and Recommend external Training Resource to accelerate Team competency.
Ongoing review of the competency of Operational and Technical staff to ensure they are operating in compliance with standards of Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, H&S, Operational Management, Legislation, Internal Control and Operating systems, Gas Capture and Delivery systems, Housekeeping, Customer Liaison and Record Keeping
Continual enhancement of skillsets and knowledge held by the Operations Team through guidance, mentoring and
coaching by the job holder or training recommendations.
Development and maintenance of employee training records in conjunction with the Operations and Procurement Manager
Coordinating and facilitating Departmental training requirements. In conjunction with other stakeholders, review and develop existing training courses and develop and implement additional training courses as required.
Main Tasks Work within the constraints of the companys HSQE Procedures. Guide and deliver training for staff to exacting standards in order to optimise Operation and Maintenance of Generating Assets and meet Company KPIs Liaise with the Managers to define standards for Operational staff Elevate all staff up to Best in Sector standard of record keeping utilising Company operations and maintenance procedures, OEM manuals, record keeping and stock control systems Elevate all staff to Best in Sector standard of mechanical and electrical fault finding, service and repair. Further develop their ability and understanding. Induction and Training of new employees to meet all the above standards Identify training needs of Departments, Management & Individuals Provide Support and Guidance to the Operational Teams for fault finding, rectifying and remediation in and periodically out of working hours Review applicable Best in Class Standard as the landscape of the business and/or processes develop and amend any relevant training modules accordingly Review, develop and improve Health and Safety Systems in conjunction with HSQE department Review, Develop and Apply additional Bespoke Technical Training Continue the development of fault-finding reference manuals for Operational and Engineering matters
Skills Required
- Mentoring, Coaching and Guidance skills

- Knowledge of relevant Legislation
- Strong Technical background and experience of Energy Sector, Power Generation Assets, Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, LFG System operation and maintenance
- Recognised qualification in either a Mechanical or Electrical field
- Health & Safety Quals (IOSH or NEBOSH)
- Supervision
- Ability to meet Stringent Deadlines
- Ability to use own initiative and work unsupervised
- Capable of developing and updating a broad range of training and educational modules and programs (employing digital tools).
- Computer literate and proficient with common MS Office Suite applications.
- Excellent Problem-Solving Skillset with the ability to take informed decisions independently.
- Hold full driving licence for UK (manual).
