About The Role
As the
Technical Trainer, you'll be at the heart of the development journey for our Planning and Scheduling teams. After their onboarding, you’ll take the lead in delivering targeted, technical training that supports our people to excel, solve problems, and make informed decisions in real time.
You’ll Be Responsible For
- Delivering high-quality training sessions aligned to our strategy and values
- Supporting colleagues with one-on-one and group coaching
- Identifying knowledge gaps and implementing solutions
- Improving technical materials and training frameworks
- Driving consistency, quality, and continuous improvement across the team
- Supporting control centre performance during emergency and incident situations
This is a hands-on, high-impact role that blends people development, technical training, and operational excellence.
About You
You’ll bring a mix of
training experience and
industry knowledge — ideally from a water, wastewater, or similarly regulated operational environment.
Essential
- Experience delivering training in a control centre or scheduling environment
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Confidence in coaching both individuals and groups, including creation of material
Desirable
- Level 3 qualification in training, coaching, or education (e.g. AET, Business Coaching)
- Water/wastewater industry understanding
- Knowledge of emotional intelligence, root cause analysis, or audit processes
- Experience developing technical training materials
- A collaborative mindset and a passion for improvement
