As a Technology Consultant, you will be instrumental in the implementation of Manhattan Associates' industry-leading software for our clients, specializing in products like Manhattan Active® Warehouse Management, Manhattan Active® Transportation Management, and Manhattan Active® Point of Sale.
This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your technical skills in a real-world consulting environment, supporting the full lifecycle of cloud-native, microservices-based software implementations. You will gain invaluable experience working directly with customers, solving complex technical challenges, and contributing to the successful adoption of critical supply chain technology. You'll be supported by our collaborative global teams across Europe, the Americas, and India.
What You'll Do
- Consulting & Client Engagement: Work directly with clients to understand their business requirements and translate them into technical solutions within the Manhattan Associates ecosystem. Actively participate in technical design workshops and guide clients through implementation processes.
- Technical Problem Solving: Analyse and troubleshoot complex technical issues related to Manhattan Associates solutions, leveraging logs, error messages, and source code to identify root causes in cloud-native, microservices architectures.
- Software Lifecycle Support: Contribute across the software development lifecycle, including assisting with and leading technical design documentation, supporting development efforts, conducting and overseeing testing, analysing and resolving issues, and providing post-implementation support for Manhattan solutions.
- Technical Implementation: Participate in and lead the technical configuration and deployment of Manhattan Associates enterprise SaaS applications.
- Continuous Learning: Deepen your expertise in scripting and programming languages, Linux environments, networking, and cloud technologies relevant to Manhattan's product suite.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our experienced consulting, development, and support teams to deliver high-quality solutions and ensure client success.
- Travel: As part of project implementation, you may be required to travel to customer sites/offices to perform your duties, including clients abroad.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking individuals with a strong foundation in technical concepts and a passion for problem-solving, whether you're just starting your career or bringing a wealth of experience.
- Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a closely related technical field.
- Technical Acumen: A strong foundational understanding of technical concepts, with the ability to quickly dive into issues and details by traversing logs, errors, and potentially source code.
- Cloud & Microservices Enthusiasm/Experience: Demonstrated interest in and/or significant experience with cloud-native solutions and microservices architecture, ideally through coursework, personal projects, internships, or professional roles. Exposure to or experience in understanding the technical requirements of cloud-based solutions and their connectivity to customer networks is highly valued.
- Programming Fundamentals: Knowledge and ideally some hands-on experience in scripting and programming languages. Python, Java, and Shell scripting are highly advantageous. Basic understanding of SQL is recommended.
- Operating Systems: Good working knowledge and hands-on experience in Linux/UNIX environments.
- Networking & Security Basics: Good understanding of networking, security, and protocols (e.g., HTTPS, SSH, TLS).
- System Integration Concepts: Good understanding of enterprise system integration concepts (e.g., REST, SOAP, JMS, Pub/Sub, and similar).
- Containerization Exposure: Demonstrable skills or strong exposure to Docker and microservices concepts.
- DevOps Awareness: Exposure to working alongside DevOps teams and a good understanding of path-to-live processes in a DevOps operation.
- Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: A logical and analytical approach to problem-solving, with a keen eye for detail. Proven ability to analyse complex technical problems.
- Communication Skills: Good reading, writing, and conversational fluency in English. Other European languages would be an advantage. The ability to articulate complex technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Team Player & Adaptable: Ability to work collaboratively in a global team environment and adapt to evolving project and client requirements.
- Proactive & Self-Motivated: A strong desire to learn new technologies and processes independently, taking initiative to overcome challenges.
- Client-Centric Mindset: A genuine interest in understanding client needs and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions that meet their objectives.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous in approach, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks, from coding to documentation.
For Experienced Consultants, we are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:
- Proven track record in implementing enterprise software solutions, especially within supply chain or logistics.
- Experience leading technical workstreams or mentoring junior team members.
- Deep expertise in one or more of the "Bonus Points" areas listed below.
- Strong client-facing experience, including requirements gathering, solution design, and user training.
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience or exposure in working on technical implementations of enterprise SaaS applications.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Kibana, Elastic Search (from academic projects, internships, or professional experience).
- Experience or exposure in technical design of extensions to microservices.
- Google Cloud certification / experience.
- Experience with Manhattan Associates products or similar WMS/TMS solutions.
