Are you passionate about supporting independence? Are you the kind of person that can inspire and enthuse others? Would you like a role that supports our teams, professionals and the public to understand more about how technology can support independence?
If you do, then our new TEC Adviser role may be for you. This is a new role, that sits alongside our commissioning team, supporting the delivery of our TEC Strategy. You will work closely with practitioners, external colleagues and organisations, and the public.
The successful candidate will support colleagues and wider teams to understand and embrace new technologies and embed them into practice in a person-centred way. Working alongside our service provider, Medequip Connect, you will support our TEC and commissioning team to find new and innovative ways of supporting people through Technology Enabled Care and use a range of methods to deliver this message internally and externally. You will support and further develop our TEC Champions, improving their confidence and knowledge, giving them the tools to promote TEC as part of a strengths-based approach.
Experience within Technology Enabled Care is not essential, though you will need to have a keen interest and a willingness to navigate and learn about this fast-growing sector. You will need to have the confidence to proactively support a wide range of teams and an understanding of the factors that impact the delivery of Adult Care services.
Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the necessary skills, knowledge and experience to undertake the role in order to provide a safe, accountable, cost effective and efficient service. It is expected that you will be committed to promoting a person-centred approach which maintains and maximises independence but also ensures the most cost-effective use of resources.
Whilst the role is hybrid and not primarily office based, a large part of the role will involve sharing knowledge with practitioners, professionals and the public, therefore there will be an expectation that the postholder will travel countywide when required.
