The CER is looking for a bright and enthusiastic person to join the research team, with expertise in digital and tech industries. The candidate would ideally also have expertise in and be willing to write about several of the following additional areas: competition policy, financial services, industrial policy and innovation.
They could work out of our London, Brussels or our Berlin offices, but if based in London or Berlin would need to visit Brussels on a regular basis. They should have at least four years’ experience of working on EU policy – in the public or private sectors, academia, media or think-tanks – and have a good understanding of the workings of EU institutions.
Applicants should be able to write English clearly and simply, and be comfortable speaking at seminars and to journalists.

Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract duration: Permanent
Annual leave: 26 days per annum plus bank holidays
Salary: Salary would depend on experience, but will be competitive
Pension: Employer 10% contribution
